This arrangement features intermediate level vocal and piano parts and an unusual scalar pattern known as the Phrygian dominant scale, also known as Ahava Rabbah, Freygish, or the “Jewish scale”. The piano part supports the vocal lines, particularly tenors and basses, at a few important moments. A confident pianist may feel free to improvise the opening bar in the style of the music. The is no divisi within the vocal parts.
